So I’ve started a six-week course in singing. Haz is convinced that we will be going for karaoke (haha, no) to test out my new ’skills’. So far the course has been very general, the kind where you don’t need to be able to read music, but it helps. Omg, flashback to piano lessons. It’s still more encouraging than piano lessons, or perhaps the teacher is the more understanding type. You can’t quite go wrong with a teacher who says anyone can sing, and isn’t afraid to squeak out a note even though she can’t quite reach it. No fear.

The teacher seems to cater to people who may choose to enter a choir after the course. Uh, no thanks. I have enough on my plate with flamenco, that in itself takes up way too much time, what with flamenco including theory lessons as well. There’s a summer course coming up as well, with a guest teacher from Spain.

Other than extra-curricular activities, it’s been a mad run with ups and downs and lots of wtfs, though not in a bad way. It does make for more interesting reflections.

Long weekend goal: football, chill out (not the same time as watching football), listen to music, work on Guitar Hero and refine air guitar skills.

Quite Possibly.

Let’s see…

The mentally disturbed, abusive cousin is visiting.

I collapsed yet again doing the farruca solo at class.

My dear boys lost to our arch-rivals.

Could this be the worst weekend ever?

I’m so tired.
